Operating system is not booting form CD?

Using pc or laptop day after day some malfunction can happen. So the operating system can not run successfully. Another is virus attack. As a result the necessary file goes corrupted. Both causes fresh operating system should reinstall from the bootable CD. Some times it makes trouble. Cause:

CD of the operating system is not bootable.

May be the bootable CD or the CD-ROM drive is ruined.

In BIOS setup another drive is selected as “1^st boot device”. 

Solution:

Before buy a bootable CD of the operating system, be sure that it is bootable.

In BIOS setup test the boot device priority. Here select CD ROM Drive as a 1^st boot device or bring forward the CD-ROM drive at first.

Test the bootable CD in another computer if it is ok then your CD-ROM drive should change. Otherwise change the bootable CD.
